The Merimee Institute for Development and Applied Sciences (MIDAS) is an independent, founder-led research and development company established on August 12, 2026, by Maximilian Merimee. MIDAS explores how ideas from different disciplines can be developed into practical technologies that address real-world needs. Its areas of interest include artificial intelligence, intelligent software systems, assistive technology, human-machine interfaces, and biomedical innovation. Across these fields, the central question remains the same: how can scientific understanding become something useful, dependable, and accessible?

Our Approach

Our Founder
Maximilian Merimee brings an interdisciplinary background spanning biological sciences, mental health, digital media, information technology, and intellectual property support. These experiences inform MIDAS’s focus on both technical possibilities and the human needs that make a technology worth developing.
